I’m Going to Write One of Every Kind of Book
If I could succeed in writing one of every type of book imaginable, what else would there be to accomplish? That would cover it. That would be the legacy. So, I’m going to give it a shot. Are you looking for a werebear vs vampire paranormal romance? I’m on it. Someone posts that they’re looking for a supernatural tale with folk horror undertones set in the backwoods? I’ll knock that out this weekend. Someone decides they want a gory monster story with lots of police shootouts and a time traveling cowboy? Coming right up. Has anyone heard of a children’s book with a cat, a parrot, and a turtle with a magic wand? Okay, I’ll get started on the illustrations and will have it out as soon as I can.
By the time I’m done, I’ll be the one-stop shop for all your reading needs. Wait. You want those in audiobooks too? Okay, I’ll get started.
Sure, I won’t have time for all that, but the truth is that I don’t have time for the reasonable amount of work I’m doing now. What writer worth his keep ever let time and space or the laws of physics get in the way of writing every story they ever imagined?
Feel free to suggest in the comments the books your wildest imagination truly desires. I’m taking all requests. My mission is to fill the world with stories even if only one person is interested in each one. I’m your guy!
